He began composing for computer games, theater and modern-dance productions in Israel back in his school days and by the age of 22, he produces scores for various media ventures worldwide from his computer-based home studio in Binyamina, Israel.

Aside for being a composer, orchestrator and arranger, Lahav is a varied and energetic multi-instrumentalist, performer and band-leader, getting his first keyboard at age 4 and since picking up the guitars, bass (electric, acoustic, fretless, 6 strings), oud, accordion, harmonica, mandolin, Irish whistle, alto / tenor recorder, cello, drums, percussions, and vocals.

A globally active jazz / blues composer, guitarist and bassist, Lahav's collaborators include saxophonist Shlomi Cohen (formerly Funk'nstein, Confusion), trumpeter Robert Dickson (Canada), vocalist Jolynn Seaman (Texas, U.S.A), and many more.

Lahav is also a key contributor in the worldwide musical charity project, "Ray of Hope", featuring a text by Israeli President and noble peace prize winner, Mr. Shimon Peres.

One of the earliest composed versions of the text was Lahav's original, duet recording with Austria-based opera singer, Sonja Perenda, which was later performed in 4 different languages and released on 3 world distribution CDs.
